Stanley Marcus of New York department store Nieman Marcus was a great friend of Henry Dreyfuss and these photographs  from 1971 show examples of merchandise that was developed to pick up on the symbol trend that Dreyfuss had created with the Symbol Sourcebook.

The Hallmark Gallery in New York held a symbol exhibition from January to March 1972. It was based around the Symbol Sourcebook 

and contained over 3,500 symbols. New Yorkers loved it.
